What does putting a disc in do?

I use DiscEx this is correct/best?

Depends of the game you are trying to play.

Try to put any wii/gc game on drive and uncompressed game, if dont work try other region game (maybe can work)
if nothing helps, i'm sorry.

No problem here with either of those games.

I lost hope for any update soon for Dios Mios (Lite) to fix Sonic Gems Collection, I guess I'll just use Devolution for this one game since I already have it legally, can anyone confirm if it works fine with Devolution on usblgx?

@Cyan sorry for asking here but have there been any updates for usblgx channel (not forwarder) to support the new DM(L)? If not when do you think there should be a release?

IS playing games off disc with DML a problem? I tried Luigi's Mansion (retail copy) and at the start of the game as soon as you walk to the top the stairs it freezes consistently.

I installed Luigi Mansion to hdd and it seems to work.

Some games only work on diosmios lite ( example GUN )
Same is true for the way of game compression used.

I see GBATEMP has both a list for DIOS MIOS (USB) and DIOS MIOS LITE (SD). How can I tell what type of compression was used in those lists?
Crediar's list does mention DiscEx or other.

A few games not working over here:

Jedi Outcast - Freezes at the first loading
Star Wars bounty hunter - Freezes at the first loading

Both appear at the compatibility list as working.

did you try the 1:1 iso, or only compressed/extracted format? it should work fine as it's listed as compatible with DiscEx and GCReEx, but you can test 1:1 too.
Though, only the US version is tested on Crediar's website.

They are also marked as not working with No More Memory, you disabled the NMM setting?

They´re both 1:1. But i installed both using the DMtools that came with the DiosMios package

Should i use this DiscEx or GCReEX?

I think what he means is just renaming the original 1:1 ISO image to exactly "game.iso" and copying it into /games/blahblah/game.iso replacing the existing file.

I think DMtool is only moving/renaming the file if he didn't enabled GCReEx/DiscEx. doing it manually is the same.

Are you playing EUR or USA version?
You could try with an older version of DIOS MIOS (Lite). Crediar's compatibility list says it's tested on 2.2 and 2.4.
disable some patches (if you have padhook, or widescreen for example)
Try with a disc in the drive too (especially for Jedi Outcast as it's a streaming audio game)
I don't have any other idea to fix the problem, I hope one of these will help.

I've spent 4 days now looking for an answer Across Google and several Defunct forum posts and Dios mios's own wiki for bugs.
I Lent out my cubivore game to an ex-friend and i wont be seeing it back (as well as Custom Robo, hypergrind go go, and viewtiful joe, which were easily replaced) But Cubivore being.... as expensive as it is. I've already tried to replace it once and that copy was horribly scratched up -_- Ebay sucks...
That being said. Does Dios Mios 2.6/CFG usbloader GX have something against burnt backups? Or digital backups?

every time i try to copy over Cubivore images i got 'somehow' EVERY single method transfers a Graphical glitch.
I've tried just normal Burn with Image burn, and rip with Dios Mios booster/USB loader/CFG usbloader, game loads with text graphic blockage and graphical errors. Tried DMTools, DiskEX, fstfix on the image and digitally copy to SD card for Dios Mios booster, usbloader, CFG usbloader, nothing works, every edition i've tried has bad to worse graphical errors..

Does Cubivore work with Dios Mios?

Tried dolphin emulation and The Iso's "all four i found shrinked and not" Loaded perfectly fine. Just miss The gamecube controller feel. any idea what i should do?

DIOS MIOS: 2.6.1+
USB loader GX: Rev 1205

I tried with pad hook off, tried with a disc in drive
(my drive makes a HORRIBLE noise. Never knew why. I even changed the laser myself and the noise kept there)

Nothing. The lightsaber fills only half, and then it just freezes

There´s a guy in other thread saying dios mios is running without audio streaming problems for him. Wonder what he could have made different...

I thank you all for the help, but i think ill wait for a new dios mios version. The project is great, they put out several updates since last june, it cant be long since a new update do iron the last issues.

i see on dml compatibility the melee is compatible with NMM, so i decided to try,
i got the usa version and when he's creating savefile seems he freezed, i got other version and no recognized

Actually even Crediar's list isn't very accurate when it comes to which works and which doesn't, it's missing a lot of games that use Audio Streaming which he refuses to post as well as games that need to be non-compressed!

Anyway from my testing my suggestion is to try .iso format first, preferably compressed (DiscEx format) if that didn't work then try it uncompressed (1:1 copy), the only game that didn't work with me in .iso format is Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 which I use GCReEX format for it, all others work like a charm and I have over 90 games from different regions on my hard drive!

Uh... Something really strange is happening to my Wii, and it was repaired two days ago. I just upgraded some old applications (CFG USB, Priiloader and WIISX), DM and cIOS (d2x v10 b53 alt), and my GC controller stopped working, but only in DM. It works in VC games and Wii compatible games. I reinstalled DM a couple of times, different versions, but with no solution. What the hell can i do? And the trick of the original GC game isn't possible for me.

Cubivore is one of the games I have that on 2.6 that has those strange text GFX glitches (Custom Robo is another but different glitching). If you use a lower version, it should be fine (2.2 works for me).

Looking back on what we were talking about, i still have one doubt:

Up until now i installed each game iso using DMtools.

1) I could just create a folder in the "games" folder and just put the iso there? No need for DMtools?

2) What is DiscEx or GCReEX? Should i use em?

If you have a big HDD, use DM and a 1:1 ISO and don't bother to convert, compress or whatever...
Just copy the ISO to the \games\[name and/or ID] folder
