I get a "fatal error apploader size is zero!" error while trying to run SSBM.
Does anyone know what's going on?
Also the Wii will ask me for a disc when as far as I knew the whole point to using DIOS MIOS 2.0 was to run the games from the Hard Drive not the disc!

The Error Message I get when the Dios Mios screen pops up is: "Fatal Loader App Size is Zero"

To fix the "Fatal error apploader size is zero!", just put a game in the drive :)

And loading from USB has nothing to do with "not having a disc inserted". just do what it asked you, insert one and profit USB loading.

I've fixed the problem though I got USB Loader GX by Cyan to show the Load from USB option when you press start but now its not showing up lol...sigh, can't win for loosing I guess, is there a CFG or Wiiflow mod that supports DIOS MIOS not the (lite) since I'm not using lite lol :P

Thank you so much for answering my questions but CAN I change the GAMEID if I want to? Like will changing the gameid make programs like usblaoder gx not read them or something?

Also is compatibilty the same with DIOS MIOS?

Yes for the millionth time, compatibility is mostly the same as long as you dont have a troublesome HDD. And just keep the GAMEID to what it is. If you really wanna change it, go ahead, but if something cant see your games, you know why.

^ This. Just leave the GAMEIDs as is and you will save yourself headaches.

Can someone test out pokemon XD: gale of darkness on dm? Its the only game so far that I've had any problems with. It runs fine under dml, but with dm it gets disk read errors about every 3 minutes.

I was using DIOS MIOS BOOTER SVN r22 and everything was fine but after switching to SVN r23, whenever I press -(L) I get a DSI error!

No problems here, not sure where your problem could be, just finished r24, you may try it out, changes:

-added support for using config on usb device if no sd card is found, now also renamed the ini to dios-mios-booter.ini, it will be on the device root instead of the games folder now
Download:
http://code.google.com/p/dios-mios-booter/
That may fixes some problems for DIOS-MIOS users ;) Oh and if it doesnt, just set the device you want into the ini, then it should use the one you want for sure. I also dont think you wanna constantly switch devices :P

I haven't got around testing it yet "need a new Hard Drive and mine is still WBFS full of Wii games that I don't wanna risk losing, gonna wait for a new Hard Drive before I move the new games there" but I'm wondering, has anyone encountered an issue of the Hard Drive not recognized yet? I kinda hope the issue we had with the SD version in which some SD cards aren't compatible isn't present with the USB version, because if there was an issue anyone recommend a certain brand of Hard Drive?

Doesn't work, I have tried with and without a game in the optical drive...
Surely someone knows the various causes of the "fatal error" right?

EDIT : I've seen people talking about emulated NAND and real NAND, I have no clue to what those are, maybe I should look into that?

I've installed the updated diosmios.wad but whenever I run an iso (in diml booter r23), the usb suddenly disconnects w/ black screen or shuts off itself.

The same iso's I used for diosmioslite w/sd (convert through gcrec etc compressed) and all ran flawlessly.
I've also updated usb loader gx and it finds the games on the usb but as soon as I run one, doesn't matter which game, the usb disconnects.
Anyone know why this would happen?

-real nand
-no disc in drive

you can use on of those wbfs to fat converter programs.

I was just like you, I converted it to FAT32 in about 3 seconds (without any loss), just follow this tutorial.

Well, this works pretty awesomely.

I'm using a 80gb sata portable and everything is on 1 partition as Excelsiior recommended.

Works perfectly. I used the DML Booter.

Problem solved after installing SVN r24, thank you for your interest and keep up the good work!

First off, I'd like to shout-out a great big "Thank You!" to Crediar, and anyone who helped to make this possible! ^_^
Secondly, I can't seem to get it to boot, after installing it.
I've tried the DM Booter, the
c204.gif
USB Loader GX mod, and even tried booting retail discs while it's installed. I've even tried it on two Wii's.
No luck through any of the above, and I simply get a black screen after selecting a game.

I'm using Composite Cables, so that shouldn't be an issue, correct?
So, does anyone have any ideas? I've been following this thread, and read most (if not all of it) and no one appears
to have the same issue, (or got it resolved).

Thanks!

Returning to the issue I was having, could the fact that I am using a two partitioned hard drive (NTFS and FAT32) be interfering with the stability of DM?
I mean, the games show up and all, but they just don't load. (See the spoiler in quote for more details.)

I'm only asking, because I don't want to re-format the drive, (because that would mean copying several hundred gigabytes off of the drive, and then back over) THEN, have it not work properly either way.

Again, thanks for any help!
