So... Just found back my old normal cables...
DML 1.0 works with it, but not with the comp. cables, which is only Progressive Mode accepted...

Ok, I know what's the problem now... But I don't want to play with those cables.
Great, now for a proper fix.
Because every respecting wii owner who has a flatscreen should have component cables, imho.

I think crediar (or another dev) should remove the new v1 dml wad from the download list, it clearly hasn't been tested enough. And actually I don't see any point at all that he so quickly released a "version" like that, not fully tested nor functional. Oh well.. hopefully we will see a v1.01 or something simular in a near future and then I also hopes he atleast add some documentation along with the wad or on a wiki page.

How can you even say that? You think crediar would really release something "..., not fully tested nor functional" ?
Though it should be clear that you can't test all loaders with every configuration out there.

crediar actually even let others test it (in the #DML channel) and it worked just fine for them.

So if you really want to get it working cut the complaining and post something helpful and not that "not working" bs!

Dude.... Chill the fuck out, man. Some people can't figure it out, it's just that it doesn't work with the things it used to, such as NeoGamma, CFG Loader, and all that good stuff. If you want people to quit saying that it doesn't work or that they cant figure it out, how about you post something more useful than just attacks on the people that don't know what to do?

New diosmioslite 1.1 wad is up. Can we run it from Sneek+DI? how? thanks

Since there is no instruction yet, I unpacked that wad (use: diosmioslitesv1.1.wad) using wadmii PC application to get 00000001.app file and then renamed it to 00000008.app and put it in the SD card folder: "\title\00000001\00000100\content" of my SNEEK+DI NAND (replacing the existing one).

Just tested it with super mario sunshine game, and it worked great.

Cheers.

why can't the new version of dml 1.0 or 1.1 for what it matters be installed the way it used to?
version 0.58 (discontinued) with wiipower installer worked fine with me.
i didn't need sneek+di, and i don't like sneek+di since it alters too many security lines.
It wont work if you are using component cables its sounds stupid but its true,i changed back to composite and it worked, but i dont want to use composite they have shit quality

wow where do you get your information from?

You still don't need SNEEK nothing has changed, you just have a .wad now that you can install directly without any extra tool compiling or building stuff.
And what do you mean by that SNEEK has "too many security lines"?

sorry made an install fault on 1.1 version, 1.0 hang on start screen with my wii... about sneek, used it on my old wii, it went to a slow death from there, since i'm testing and making forwarders for apps that won't accept normal forwarding (like wii mame sdl or CleanRip) sometimes it makes problems and i need the security of the wii kick in (it didn't)

To be clear, what loaders are working fine with the new DML version and what problems arised this new version? Is the old discex format still supported or is it obligatory to convert the isos to the new format? What is the benefit of the new extracted format?

All loaders should work fine with it.
Though the issues are mostly about those who uses Progressive Cables, in that case, try to use 480p (and also: PAL/NTSC depending of games).

Old DiscEx format is still supported.
The New format pretty much takes less space than an ISO. But that's your choice.

You know I been thinking of a solution for the 2-disk games for DML, this may sound very stupid since I'm not technical "enough" for this so please be easy on me and hear me out!

Now we all know the only reason why they broke games into two disks back in the days was because of space limitations, now with DML we don't have this issue anymore, so why not create a program that can combine BOTH disks into one? Something like this:

1-Start .exe program
2-Select DISK 1
3-Select DISK 2
4-Create new .iso

The .exe program adds a feature in which during gameplay if you press a certain combination of keys a menu pops up asking you to choose a disk like this :

Choose Disk:
-Disk A
-Disk B

Then convert the new .iso into DML format, when running the game on Wii you get the same menu that asks you to choose which disk you wanna play at the beginning, select which disk you wanna start then start the game, during the gameplay when you're being asked to swap disks simply press that combination of keys to call for that menu to pop up again and then select the other disk!

I know it's not easy to create this but I think it can work!

As for the games with audio streaming issues, why not do something similar? A .exe program that can convert these audio files into a format that is easy for DML to detect? Would this work?

Old DiscEx format is still supported.

Hey that's awesome, in this case If they retain the ability to run disks and confirm it's working with all games that used to work with the old one, I might give this new DML a try!

Well ideas are great but who will code it?
And don't think it would be easier to implement it correctly instead of this hackery?

And about the new format, it is not smaller since each file will at least use the sector size. (A 32byte file would take 64KB on a 64KB cluster sized SD card).
But the new format seems to be a bit faster.

Couldn't someone with enough knowledge make a similar program to Multigame ISO Creator? As for the new format is it smaller than the old one or not? because the old format used to take way too much space for a small-ish game, some games took up to 1.5GB when originally they're around 500MB

Then that means I'm screwed if use this; component cables are the only cables I have for my Wii. I was thinking of giving this program a try, but, after reading that...no thank you. Besides, this program doesn't sound too reliable when it comes to stability.
