i'd set the bar to 400. i dont like it that you alone in the end paid 200, and the whole community will be paying 200,too. but that's just me.
Yeah, I understand your thoughts, well i could use the money anyways. I will raise the total to € 350,- and therefor I paid "just" 50 in the end.

i have send 50 euro so we are getting closer to the goal now

keep it up

got the money, thanks mate. just awesome.

Badassery.

I love how people show dedication to this project.

Let's hope G0dLiKe doesn't blow the money on snack foods and such. :D

And that project involves Snac... i mean, some exciting stuff i presume;)

But well, seems like the donating is going well, but wonder, how did you make up your mind to spend 400 euros for the source code?

Ehm, why did you increase the goal to 350 euro?

I'm trying to set up the credit car over MB but its almost a steal, the force you to check a 1-2€! draw in order to active the account and they didnt return you, 1-2€!!, when Ebay gives you (no take from you) 0.01 or something like that in order to activate

no they take 1-2euro to validate your account and then when u verify , they put that amount back to your account.
That is not what i have read. But anyway, i have registered the account, verifing ...

Edit: It seems that the service is very VERY bad translated to Spanish. They explain three times about the verify method and all those three explanations are different!!, first they say they took the money, then they say they put you the money and the last one is took again. But i belive they take your money to verify coz somewhere said that they dont return back (that makes no sense if they put you the money). Im registering in order to donate but REALLY, this service stinks

Nosotros retiraremos una cantidad al azar de su tarjeta de crédito entreEUR 1.01 - 2.99.

I bought the source bc I didnt want to see this project disappear, and bc i love gc games, thats mainly why I bought it. I raised the goal because of this Post #989

hope you understand.

Ah i see, and well done with that thought:)!
you made a good choice, and you could let it go to 400 euros if people are interested, as it´s community driven one way or another.
I would gladly invest myself, but currently, i don´t really have the cash for personal reasons, though i hope you let the donate option on for the project even after the goal has been reached:)

€ 350 is the desired goal but anyways you are welcome to donate later if you cannot do so now for whatever reason. thx.

So just to get the story straight, you're raising this money to buy the source code from crediar (again)?

If that's the case...

Anyway, I really appreciate the work. I'll donate soon.

:fuckyea: That's pretty awesome work you guys are doing! I really want to donate to this AMAZEEING job you guys are doing it, but I have no money at the time (I live with my parents and I'm Still at High School )

I would have preferred to spend my money in this project than to spend it on the 20 or so gamecube games I own (Some of them just to realize they are pretty LAME *cough* Dead To Rights *cough*), but as soon as I have money I'd love to donate to you awesome people :D

:awwyeah:

i guess its more like:
crediar wanted to sell dml to atleast get something for his work.
godlike bought it for the community.
crediar maybe felt bad that godlike had to pay it by himself.
he tells the community to give godlike his money back, so they can get the new version.
crediar happy, godlike happy, community happy.

This seems to be along the right lines the way I see it. The thing I don't like about the whole thing is how crediar sold the project, but then basically kept it (he kept working on it, driving the whole thing etc.). WiiPower made some contributions, but according to him, his contributions are minimal compared to crediar's. in other words, nothing actually changed, crediar just took 400 euros to make it open source. Which would be "ok" if it was donations, but I think it's a bit harsh when it's from one person. And now crediar is feeling bad about the whole thing I guess and this is his way of making amends. I admire that he is at least trying to make amends, but I don't think the way he did it in the first place was the best approach. I think he should have just requested donations and released the source when it got to a certain point. But then again, he wrote the code, it's up to him.

Was Crediar's code, he could do whatever he wants with the code (sell), he didnt put a gun to Godlikes's head to buy it.
And now, he's not asking for more money for him, but yes for Godlike, for something that he has worked.
It's a fair reimbursement.
