Is their ever going to be a release where you don't have to have a wii or gc game inserted? Was just wondering (And also that I can't seem to find any of my games in my 100s of disc )
try one of your other discs i couldn't find a wii game either, been using it with a blank dvd-r till now but when you said that i just tested it with an xbox game and a movie both of those worked just fine as well.

Didn't know it could work that way o__0.

I'll try it out when I get home.

I was watching WiiGetItDone's video today and there is a step that I consider could be easier.(not very different in fact)

In the step of converting the iso to disc ex (at 2:35) he first convert the iso, then browse the created folder, rename the iso inside, open the iso, shrink it and then create a new iso and delete the previous one.

What I do is create the iso with cleanrip, then I shrink this iso(same way like in the video) and disc ex it. The created folder will be already shrinked. It not so much different than the procedure in the video but it might be a little easier I think for those people that don't want to browse the folder contents.

I did it in that order because (maybe I'm just making this up, though I'm pretty sure I tested it) I found if I compressed them first then ran them through DiscEx, DiscEx would make them 1.5GB again.

Anyway, if there are drastic changes in the coming days or weeks to DML, I'll consider making an updated tutorial. I'm surprised at the attention it's gotten, thanks for having me on the front page :D

It's still not a cMIOS!

my wii resets its self no matter what :( it does it with neogamma and postloader why is it??? i really wanna play some GC

Are you sure you insatlled DML correctly? Try it with ModMii, it's the easiest way. Just create the wad and install it with WAD Manager.

I don't know if someone reported that but : In "Zelda - The Wind Waker" (PAL version), it's impossible to see the map in the Forsaken Fortress, the game froze when i want to look it.

Thanks a lot for the Dios Mios Lite :D

No, I tested it yesterday both ways yours and mine and the resulting folder after Discex shrink the same size. Your video it's great, very clear and informative! Let's hope there are some major changes for DML so you can upload another cool video :P

You guys got some idea who added four swords adventures NTSC-U to the list? Because IIRC only NTSC-J had tetras tracker.

Lol...the changelog for rev20:

* Allow booting gamecube retail discs without sd card inserted
* Allow MIOS to patch games on retail discs like Wind Waker
* Added launching gamecube homebrew like cMIOS do, but DML is still NOT a cMIOS!
* Allowing gamecube homebrew to read DVD-Rs like cMIOS do
* Commented out some functions to save some memory

Well, if it looks like a cMIOS, handles like a cMIOS...even tastes like cMIOS...then it must be...

SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!! YEEEEY!!!! :D

I'll give it a go. And let you guys know if the thing made my wii explode. ;)

EDIT: so far, so good. I can't say I notice much difference in revisions speed-wise, but if a game like F-zero plays smoothly, I can't really think of games that don't. :P
