Difference between Xbox and Xbox 360?

Lots of people are telling me that the Xbox 360 is so much better than the Xbox? But I don't know what the difference is.

360 = 2nd generation = upgraded version = better = all the mainstream games

xbox = outdated = dead

Lol nice topic. Difference is like going from any console to the new generation. The 360 is probably 3-5 times more powerful (probably more), has new games, and you can't play the new games on the old Xbox (although I hear tell you can play old games on the new system, sometimes at least). It's a new system. Just like going from the NES to the SNES.

360 has xbox live, and while xbox has that at the moment in april they are taking it off regular xbxoxes which means no online play

That's kind of how consoles work. When new ones come out, they improve on the old one like so.
