Hi all, could anyone please tell me what are the differences between a Singapore set and a USA set?

In particular, when you load the Any Region Changer on a Singapore set, will it display the exact same configuration as a USA set?

What about the Country Code? I believe it should be 153 and not 49?

And also what about the weather and news channels? Will it follow USA or Singapore's config?

Thanks in advance!

I didn't know the DS had weather channel and news channel

Diff is

Local set - 2 pins + 3 months local (Maxsoft) warranty

US set - 3 pins + No local warranty, only Nintendo of America's warranty

Btw, were u the one from SGClub and post sth similar?

I guess wrong section - it is suppose to be Wii, not DS

So is that the only difference?

What about the Country Code and also what about the weather and news channels?

You must change your country to US in order to use forecast and news channels and Wii Shop channels. You have to do the same even if you got a US Wii.

And, postal code difference is only in use if you are purchasing Wii Points using credit card, cos the postal code of SG cannot be use in the postal code of US, so you can either switch you country to brazil, which will work if you use your own SG postal code, or you find a postal code that is in US.

Right thanks! Does that mean that the forecast and news channels will not be able to display for singapore region's but only USA region's?
