i have a homebrewed wii u with aroma, but i never touched vwii, its not modded.

so, i was trying to play gc games through uwuvci injects. i followed the guide where i had to move nintendont with boot.dol file etc to apps folder on my sd card. after i installed the inject on usb, i got a black screen with error code 170-2793.

question is - is it possible that nintendont folder broke something on vwii part and if so, can it be fixed?

This is your problem, nintendont need modded vwii first.
This is not true. He injected the game with uwuvci, this way he can bypass the vwii and go straight from the wii u menu to the wii or gc game. The vwii doesn't need to be modded for that method.

Error code 170-2793 on the Wii U usually means issues with external storage not getting enough power or a corrupted digital game download. Have you tried other games with this method? What kind of hdd do you have? It could also be a bad dump of the game. So just try another one or use teconmoon to inject the game.

i tried wii injects too, which led to the same error. i also tried using teconmoon - same story. im using an sd card in usb card reader as an external storage, could that be a problem? i can install some of the injects on nand and check if they'll work.

Don't you have a normal hdd? Those usb sd card readers are always the cause of problems. Christmas is coming, you can put one on your wishlist. Make sure it's at least 1TB though

i might buy one, but is it safe to install injects on nand?

I wouldn't do that. If you have a bad dump, which you don't know yet, you might corrupt the system. You can try to launch the iso on dolphin. If it's working correctly, it could be okay on the nand too. Just use rhythm heaven fever as the base for the injects and make sure to use the same regions for game and console.

also does it has to be strictly 1tb or this is just a recommendation?

I’ve used nothing but usb sd card readers for years

As long as you don’t have the worlds cheapest usb adapter and some no name brand sd card or fake sd card it’s perfectly fine

Have you tried to unplug the hdd or usb drive? And are you using an upscaler like mclassic?
is it ok to unplug it if i have all the games on it? no i dont think i used anything like that

Sounds strange. It can be a hardware fault. Wii u games are running fine? Have you tried to plug an hdd instead of the sd card usb adapter?

wii u games running perfect. i don't have an hdd yet to check it though... but what about the nintendont? could it broke something on vwii nand if just moved to sd:\apps when its not modded?

No I don't think so. It would rather give an error screen that something is missing. Like for instance if you installed the forwarder to a wiiware game, but forgot to install the wad on the vwii side. Then there would be a black loading screen telling you that the file is missing. Do you have another tv to check it there again? You can also try to change the resolution in the wii u settings to 480p.

okay this time it was different. its now blackscreening for seconds and sends back to wii u menu without green/purple filter

I think it's a hardware or software fault on your vwii side. Have you entered the vwii before that incident or is this the first time? I assume that you have bought a used wii u, which might had a vwii brick
