Playing PSO through devolution has been great but the wifi connection on my Wii isn't the strongest. I bought the official Wii LAN Adapter through Nintendo and set it up in the Wii options validating with a connection test.

I went to boot up PSO through devolution and I just see a black screen that will sit there all day. If I unplug the USB LAN adapter and boot the game I will get the normal PSO loading screen. I have tried both USB ports.

Any thoughts? Will Devolution not work with the LAN adapter?

The network connection gets initialized before the game starts for the debug output. Sounds like it's getting stuck for some reason with the USB LAN adapter. Can the game get online if you only connect the adapter after it's started? Might need a few attempts to connect before it gets through, based on testing with my own USB LAN (unofficial).

Played with this some more. Even with the adapter unplugged, If I have a WIRED connection saved as one of my 3 connections in the Wii settings, Devolution will do this. I think even without the LAN adapter you can select to have a wired connection, save it, and then test Devolution to see if it does the same on your end.
