Probably just a joke, homebrew is not illegal (At least in certain countries)
Depending on the jurisdiction, circumventing the protection system of a console can be illegal.

That being said, in regards to the circumstances of DevkitPro and smea I'll remain sceptical until I see more definitive proof.

DKP has no reason to be seized. Except if they use code from the real devkits, they're legally in the clear, right? Did it replace the whole server, or was a DNS record changed. If so, we could visit the site using the original IP.

Done, and may I say GBATemp is shittastically slow. I am on a 50/40 connection and even somehow the forum manages to lag, everything else like the wiki runs fine.

Than isn't it just a modified computer language compiler (c++, java) with emulator support. I don't see any reason for it to be taken down since its kind of like other program compilers.
What? Emulator? What are you talking about? devKitPro is a toolchain for various platforms, compiles to those platforms. Emulators are unrelated to it, as far as I know. Calling it a "modified computer language compiler" is kind of stupid...

its not taken down
