Yes you can search for "split" in the retroarch config file in a text editor (from your PC) and set it to true, and set max users to 2 in retroarch, also I remapped the menu to start+select and put select on analog click (the left joycon need - to be remapped to start) so I can enter the menu when playing with split joycons :)

EDIT only works on nightly!
but SR and SL do not work

What causes the exFAT corruption?

How long do you have :D

Basically it’s not Journaled, so it doesn’t keep track of changes before they are committed to the storage medium.

It only has a single File Allocation Table and free space map, so doesn’t allow for data recovery if something interrupts a transfer. Even the older versions of FAT used alternating tables.

All of which means if the slightest thing goes wrong with a file transfer, it most likely results in corruption and data loss.

Thanks for the info! Could you send me your config file?? Much appreciated.

Its not that many things to configure, but sure, here u go! :D
(I think all of those setting are in this file)
EDIT: For anyone else reading this, this is a config file preconfigured for playing with split joycons and both players can control the menu by clicking analog stick and +/-

RE2 has a disc 1 and a disc 2. PCSX runs the eboot. I was not going to go through the combining of multiple discs.

Sooooo what does this have to do with multi-disc .PBPs? It's technically two separately self-booting discs that can boot independently of the other or a save file, and I never said anything about .PBPs themselves not working.
Multi-disc .PBPs work on other platforms, but not on Switch. It's a platform-specific problem. I've made that pretty darn clear.

Thanks! Where do I find nightly builds or whatever? Also I checked out the config file. For PSX only? How about NES? :)

I only play PSX games, you will have to make changes to the other cores yourself, my files are just an example :)

How are the splashscreen/menu artworks referenced. Are the .nro's linking to a specific file or is it based on names?

I think they work as long as the .pbp file contains both discs inside the single file. I have no issue with the official Resident Evil 2 .pbp in this format, I can change discs from the PCSX-specific options menu.

If the .pbp is an official Sony file and not self-created, both discs should be contained inside the single .pbp.

Here's another background I made for Snes9x.
