Any way to delete the Wifi settings for the Sysnand but leave it there for the Emunand? If I delete the Wifi settings in the Sysnand it deletes it from the Emunand and vice versa. I don't want it there when I'm not in Emunand

Yes, I erased all the 3 connections in sysnand. I dont know if u must put the settings in emunand again. I think not. These are settings are seperated on each nand i guess.

OK then why isn't it doing that for me? After deleting from Sysnand I go into Emunand and it is gone from there as well. I have tested this multiple times.

It's not even worth deleting the connections from your Sysnand, they'll come back after a while of using your Emunand. It's happened to me countless times now, I've just given up on it.

that's weird, i can confirm that changing emunand wifi=>changes sysnand wifi

created wifi setting in emunand, sysnand had exact copy
then deleted wifi *only* in sysnand [rebooted, confirmed sysnand had nothing, emunand had tested/working wifi
i truncated my wifi info to block online in emunand, sysnand had same truncation [even after i deleted all settings in sysnand, it overwrote that]

so basically i have it set to have wifi only in emunand, not in sysnand. it has never worked the other way round for me? [changing something in sysnand removing something in emunand]?

did you change settings in emunand [and then after noticed sysnand wifi]? i'm wondering cuz if i don't touch emunand wifi settings, will it come back in sysnand on its own? urk, don't wwant that to happen [giving a game unit to sibling, afraid they might go online in sysnad XD]

You have to reboot sometimes. Certain games, a la SSB "require" a restart. If you open System Settings and go back it dumps you back to Sysnand. If you forget and leave Wifi on it downloads the info stating that an update is available, correct? =/ I just want to prevent it from happening again and it seems there's no surefire way to do so.

i'm just wondering but if your sysnand wifi settings are all blank, even if it boots you back into sysnand and wifi is on, it will have only actually connected while in emunand correct? i ask this because i have left wifi on in sysnand with no settings and there ia no connection in sysnand... so i should be safe as long as the wifi infos are blank right?

unless somewhere here mysteriously emunand is overwriting the blank sysnand settings for you guys...
[in which case my false sense of security will be destroyed one day as i notice my firmware has suddenly updated without me knowing...]

You have some sort of magic there because no matter what, for me, it is sharing wifi information. The fact yours isn't like this is very confusing.

the first 3 posts indicate somethings wrong with your system [???] becuz i think for other people it works top down
emunand change
==>sysnand change

i can confirm, my sysnand wifi was blank, i put dummy info into first setting, rebooted, [sysnand=dummy info slot 1, emunand, real wifi still there, slot one]
restart, boot into emunand, put dummy info into slot 2, save reboot check [sysnand: slot 1 dummy info, slot 2 *emunand dummy info*]

post#2 is correct, nands are supposed to be seperate, with emunand having priority. btw is it true that wifi settings come back even after deleting them in sysnand???

Nothing is "wrong" with my system. Maybe it depends on the firmware you use to exploit it? Maybe 4.5 started writing wifi info into SD card for example so instead of writing it to the NAND it ends up on the SD card but earlier versions did. Someone must have an actual answer to this.

Yeah, I tested this, and it didn't seem to effect it. Then, after purposely avoiding the Settings application for a couple days, then restarting my system, my Wi-Fi connections were back on my Sysnand. It's still a mystery to me how they got back.

well i didn't mean "wrong" per say, i just meant it wasn't what others users reported, aberrant is mebbe a better word. anyways, it's still confusing, i would also like more info.

i'm on 4.5.0-10u sysnand, running 8.1.0 19u emunand, and my gateway card/gateway system is 2.3b omega [latest]. I'm booting into gateway via settings, profile,ds profile, [not holding L] straight into gateway emunand.

urk, this is worrisome, hope it doesn't happen to me as well.

turn on the parental control and limit the internet connection there, this way the console will ask for a pin code to go online

Mine is on 4.5 and wifi settings are only transfered to sysnand if I change them on emunand.
If I just let the console connect to the wifi networks by itself, without getting into system settings, nothing happens to sysnand.
