I figured, even my question to Smea was there. I try to avoid making threads in the first place, and this thread randomly popped up even after searching and writing it. So I'm already frustrated enough. Glad enough people brought it up, I'm sure it's not unnoticed. I think HANS runs games in O3DS mode on N3DS optimized games, minus the clock speed.

  1. Press Home
  2. Use the Screenshot tool
  3. Open PAINT
  4. Copy in scr_XX_TOP_LEFT.png and scr_XX_BOTTOM.png.
  5. Save

Doesn't work either, when I drag both pictures in it, it only does 1 picture, but if I do the first one, and then the 2nd one, it wil ask if I want to save but it never get both top and bottom in there, I'm totally lost now...
Maybe it doesn't work afterall then???????

Then, open paint twice, with each files.
On a window: Ctrl+A (Select all) -> Ctrl+C (Copy)
On the other window: Ctrl+V (Paste)

You can use the white square on the image border to enlarge the drawing area.

It's just some image manipulating.

hey guys. I got always in HANS black screen if I try to load pokemon neo x or rutile ruby (already followed many tutorials) I dont know what the problem is.

I'm on *hax 2.5 with ninjhax.

O3ds 9.8

I was getting a black screen as well, I made a dumb mistake by placing the .romfs in the sd:/3ds/hans/ folder instead of sd:/hans/.

It's working now though.

Just wondering if it would be possible to make background HANS scripts optional so that it doesn't break games like Smash on o3DS.
From my understanding, HANS uses the CPU usually reserved for OS functions for its Home=screenshot, l+r+down+b=return to hbmenu. Smash needs to use that CPU to run at 60fps on o3DS, and it crashes when it tries to take over HANS. But if those HANS scripts are optional, then Smash might not crash on old 3DSs. Would this be possible? Is my understanding correct?
I have a N3DS as well as an o3DS, but I kinda want to do multiplayer smash romhacks.

Does HANS not load extra data from the SD card? I tried opening Smash and it said it was missing update data and Omega Ruby said I wasn't on the latest version even though I could see the update already downloaded.

EDIT: But yet Pokémon Shuffle extra data is loaded when launched through HANS. Weird.

Is it possible to bypass the new AP checks with HANS?

Only if you are on a FW9.2 and below unit.

You can use PastaCFW to patch out signature checks, and will be able to install FBI/BigBlueMenu after that.

I've been trying to bypass that for Pokemon ORAS.
I was told it was blocked :(
