Hello,
I have a problem, my Nintendo Switch is toast, hardware failure.
Is there any way to get my old save game files from the console?
I would like to finish some of them via emulator or any other means.

Thank you

Depends. Can you access emmc contents, and do you have your device keys?

If it's not able to turn on at all, you may be able to disconnect the emmc from the board and either 1) plug it into a working unit to dump the emmc, or 2) physically wire the emmc up to a reader to read its contents.

I am not entirely sure whether 1) would work, but 2) definitely should. If you don't have your device keys though, there's not much you can do with it. You need the device keys to decrypt the emmc and access the files inside.

Once you have the raw save data from within the emmc though, there might be additional steps to take before you can read that save data in an emulator, but I'm not knowledgeable enough about that. Someone else would have to tell you what to do.

Is your console even unpatched?
