The guide says use either gro0 or ux0 depending on whether you have a physical or digital of copy of P4G (since that's what the guide is for). Nothing is stopping you from using both at the same time, I do it and it's fine.

Anyway I'm glad that I could help, your save game is always found in the "savedata0:" partition because the system loads it into there regardless of what type of game you have. How the saves are structured can differ per game, but you'll always find it in that directory.

Have fun :)
Yeah i noticed PG4 save is bin. but the doax3 saveame seems to be .dat files

EDIT 3:
IT seems these steps ARE GOLD. They really seem to do the trick!
THANKS.
Final question the guide says: the decrypted files are in gro0:app but where exactly would my savegame be here? or is it only found in savadata0?

"You use gro0: for a physical game and ux0: for a digital game. I've forgotten to change that part a few times when switching between games so I've seen the same error in Near.
Also you need to add both gro0 and ux0 into your app.db file in order for them both to work, depending on how you followed the guides depends if you only added one or both of them.

As for the "You cannot use the application that is on this PS Vita card. An icon for the same application is already installed" error. That sometimes happens when you add molecularshell to the games patch folder. It's reading the game as molecular (you can see this on physical games by looking at the icon that appear in the corner showing what game is in), but you've already got molecular as an icon on the vita.

To avoid that error you have to follow the steps properly, even if you've already done them with a different game beforehand.

1. If it's a physical game, insert the game first (do not have molecular shell game patch already installed)
2. Launch molecular shell and create/apply the patch folder.
3. Head over to the browser and use either "gro0" or "ux0" depending on what state of game you have.
4. After Near opens confirm it shows the games manual (it might not for some games but so long as there's no error it should work).
5. Return to home menu and enter game, molecular shell will load.

I've only every had this issue with physical games and whenever it happens I rename the games mshell patch folder and reinsert the cart, then I do the above steps and it works every time. (just make sure to use the right command and titleID in browser)"
So... When to put molecule in patch. Between steroid 4 and 5?

i still can't get this to work...keep getting insert the vita card when the browser link opens the email app

I made image links of stuff i have

Last edited by djricekcn,
what happens when you try?
and did you fix it yet?
good luck

I fixed it; it was having trouble mounting the partition, but now I have it figured out. When I first started, my near line in the app.db file didn't have a eboot line at all, and I had to manually add it.

What is the game you are trying to decrypt?

If it's Atelier Meruru+ (JP) you should use PCSG00171.

Yes, that is the game i'm trying to do...but I've also tried it with Atelier Shelly, Ayseha, Esca and Lodgy, Hells Army, Shinobido 2...are they all not using the game code on the box/cart? Is their a webpage that has all the game product id? i remember using one way back in the days of PS3 which had psx, ps2, psp and ps3 product id but don't remember what that site was called

that code on the box is a different number, a catalog number probably. different to the game code, and also different to the trophy code. complicated!
the game code you need can be found if you open up the app0: or gro0: folders and look at the name of the folder you see in the app folder.
