so my emunand is updated to 10.6 running a9lh through reinand v3.3. I know decrypt9 also relies on the arm9. so my question is.... is there a way to get decrypt9 working when I have arm9 installed? everytime I try to open it through the hbl it crashes back to hb. and if not is there an alternate process for generating xorpads when using a9lh?

If you use AuReiNAND and If you have firmware90.bin and firmware.bin in the rei folder, you should be able to boot into sysnand 9.2 with firmware90.bin by holding "L" then power on your system, this should boot you into it.

You can install MenuHax or use another entrypoint for homebrew and use Decrypt9 without a problem then.

Don't know if it's possible in ReiNand v3.3.

all I needed to do was rename decrypt.bin to arm9payload and place it in the rei folder and just hold l + r on boot. boom decrypt9 menu

You can even set up CtrBootManager9 in order to launch it at the boot holding select (0.5 sec to boot) and from there run Decrypt9.

There's also ARM9Select by FIX94, which is similar to CTRBootManager9, except it has no GUI, you just hold buttons down to launch whatever you want. But yeah, whichever method you pick, you can just run Decrypt9/EmuNAND9 from A9LH itself, no need to try and boot it from HBL anymore.

Try to open Decrypt9 on a9lh using the decrypt9.bin, rename it to "arm9loaderhax" and then turn on the 3ds and you should use it. Don't forget to backup the original arm9loaderhax before you rename it.

If I remember correctly you have just to rename the arm9loaderhax.bin from AuReiNand (that it is placed into the root of the SD) in AuReiNand.bin, then proceed extracting the content of the CtrBootManager9 into the root of your SD.
Reboot your 3ds holding the "SELECT" buttom. From there you can customise CtrBootManager9 as you wish.

Changing decrypt9.bin to arm9loaderhax.bin is a bit extreme, there is no need to do that. Unless you are talking about renaming the homebrewlauncher to arm9loaderhax.bin

Edit: If you were to use Aureinand as your cfw you can run tools made by d0k3 (or any one) on emunand 10.7 or sysnad 10.7, that is if you have a9lh running with Aureinand.
