Hacking Decrypt Saves from other console Possible?

Well, I installed CFW yesterday on my girlfriend's console, and because of a bizarre SD error, we lost all saves and files.

However, luckily I had made a very old backup of her SD, with several game saves installed, at the time she still used Rxtools.

My question is:

- Is there any way I can use these old saves on her console with Luma? I would be able to put the folders of this saves in my console (CFW) and export the saves via checkpoint / jksaver / esav so that it imports into hers?


(She's in Kent State Now, so i cant use your console for it.)

Yes, just have her put the files on an SD card and they should work. Of course, the latest version of Luma should also be on the card.

No, saves are encrypted per-console.

If you have the movable.sed along with the SD backup, then you can decrypt the saves in Windows with fuse-3DS, extract the contents with 3ds-save-tool, and then re-import the results with jksm or another such utility.

Have you system transferred to/from the 3DS and/or formatted it from the time you were running rxTools?

I copied the SD content with Rxtools and saved it to my computer. I formatted the girlfriend's console and did all the procedures to install Luma normally.

actually i think you can recover the movable.sed from the NAND backup
you should be able to decrypt the NAND backup using the 3DS's OTP and then recover the movable.sed, with which you can decrypt the save files

If the NAND backup was made with GodMode9, you can open it right up in fuse-3ds and extract movable.bin. (The same goes for essential.exefs, if you have that sitting around.) Otherwise, fuse-3ds will require your OTP and your CID, and I'm not even sure how you get those or whether you might have those.

I have both files, thanks for the guidance, now I think my doubt is really the step-by-step how to do it.

Only now I've finally been able to decrypt the contents of SD. Basically I discovered that the backup I had here had different folders, with different contents, and that each folder used a different movable.sed to decrypt all content.

But now, the part that seemed easier, has become a challenge. I am not able to make the contents of the decrypted folders work. My 3ds are not detecting folders as valid, even unencrypted, basically as if they had never been.

And now? Does anyone have any ideas? All I wanted was to take some saves from that damn old SD backup, but by the way, I can not even visualize them!

Do you have a nand backup for that sd card set of saves? If yes, then check out https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...backups-and-sd-contents-with-fuse-3ds.499994/ . If not, then you are sol with it.
 
The problem is that now, even after unencrypted, the saves do not work on other consoles. Am I wrong in my intention? are the saves still alienated solely from the console that created them?
fuse-3ds can only be used to decrypt save files. In order to use the decrypted data on another console, you also need to unpack the decrypted save data (using 3ds-save-tool) and then re-inject the save data on the other 3ds using homebrew software like JKSM.

Alternatively, it might be possible to change the CMAC of the decrypted save file using 3ds-save-tool, and then use fuse-3ds to re-encrypt the save data on the SD card for the other console, but I don't really know the details of doing that.
