Looks more like dirt or lint under a screen protector, your 3DS doesn't look to be on at the time of the picture taken. Recommend an alcohol wipe to remove finger smudges before taking a shot for people to tell you if you got dead pixels or not. Also don't reduce a photo size, you lose image definition that can help you or someone else telling you if it is a dead pixel, also don't crop images for things like this. Knowing if your 3DS is on or not is a big determination on if it is dirt or not.

Ah damn. Yeah there's no screen protector on it. How hard would it be to remove the screen on it to get rid of the dust?

guides are available

Use nitrile gloves if your hands are greasy when cleaning the screen and lcd.

If you can't get a pair to use from someone you know, you can just buy a box of them from amazon, costco or whatever place you can find them.

cheap ones if you don't plan to use more than 1 set of gloves. I believe the lowest number in a pack is a 30 pack.

thanks. holy crap this looks like a pain though. Is there no easier way to dissameble like from the front of the 3DS instead or something? I will probably just get a new 3DSXL if this is the case..those are hackable right?

Not that I know of. All 3ds consoles are a PITA to dissasemble to fix.

Also. All consoles out there are hackable. So there are no worries about that.

PITA?

Also if I end up getting a new 3DS XL and mod it, can I use the same SD card and will my games just show up/play on there? I don't wanna have to reinstall all my games I have.
