As I've updated my systems (motherboards) I can not get DBI to install. The latest motherboards have 3.1 or better USB ports, so I'm sure if that has something to do with it. I'm running Windows 10, with an I9 13900 CPU. I turn off the windows "security" and turn off Comodo firewall and Avast to use DBI. I run dbibackend. Then plug in the Atmosphere switch. I can open DBI on the Switch.

I try Install title from DBIbackend. On the command window, it shows
File "threading.py", line 1052, in _bootstrap_inner
...
...
...
File "usb/backend/libusb1.py", line 600, in _check
NotImplementedError: Operation not supportet or unimplemented on this platform

Then, I try using Run MTP responder (after restarting DBIbackend.exe.
It never shows up in my file manager on Win 10 like it used to to drag/drop into the install folder (#5) which used to work. I get

Start installing to SDCard
Checking magic...[ok]
Received: 1012 B, (0.00 MB/sec)
Installation aborted

EVERY TIME. Switch is on firmware 18.0, Atmosphere is on 1.7

Does everyone have any ideas of what I could try? Both these methods used to work fine.

You most probably have wrong drivers installed. Reinstall zadig. Run MTP responder on your switch and plug an usb cable. If it doesn't show up you have to go to your device manager, find the usb device in the list, update driver from local computer, and without pointing to any specific place on your system you can just select a different pre existing driver. The whole process is better described here.

i never use dbibackend, just launch dbi on switch and run mtpresponder, then do everything in windows explorer by drag and drop
I tried that, it just freezes. It shows initiator: Windows / 10.0.19045 MTPClassDriver / 10.0.19041.0 and never completes. I wonder if this is a newer MTPC driver that DBI doesn't work with. It always worked on my older systems.

Thanks I'll try that.

Installed zadig... ran DBI on Switch. I get the Switch in the file manager (Windows 10) as I had before. I open Switch in the file manager. I open SD Card install folder, and drag/drop there. The Switch shows:

Session opened
Initiator: Windows/10.0.19045
Create file: *filename*
Expecting 3.72 GB
Start installing to SDCard
Checking magic... [ok]
Secure partition at 368.09 MB
Received: 88.48 KB, (0.00 MB/sec)
Installation aborted

and then it hangs there. Anything else I can try?

Try download game from other sources
The game file is not a problem here. The same files on the old Dell on i5 8gen Windows 11 Professional and the operation of MPT works great I can choose 20 games and all will be installed.

In contrast, I have a new Predator Helios 300 laptop on i9 12th Widnows 11 Home after playing the driver appeared a swich device and I can transfer the files to the installation, but the installation never ends is interrupted.
