Day 15: CycloDS Evolution

I LOVE IT !
I replaced my R4 with the CycloDS some time back and have never looked back. It works like a charm. Never any problems with it. I have the white one and when the black one comes out I'll get that one too. One for games and homebrews and the other for video and MP3s. Put an 8GB chip in each and I'm off and running. I think the CycloDS is the best out there hands down The only thing I would change about it is when it boots up I would like it to bypass the DS boot screen and just go in to the CycloDS OS.

my CycloDS Evolution. My first Flashcard. I mostly picked this over the rest because of the reviews and the OS it looked much easier to use compared to the other cards, and it is. I ordered one for my little sister since she also

the CycloDS Evolution getting it as a Christmas present but I don't know if it's going to arrive at my door before then. Once you tried the CycloDS Evolution you'd probably never use your current card again.

Love it. Has all the features you need with a support team that is actually there within the community. Sure it's expensive, but overall it's only $10-15 more than the cheaper models. For a solid feature list and support that isn't going away anytime soon, I'd say it's worth it.

I like my CycloDS Evolution a lot, but I'd like it even better if Team Cyclops would get around to implementing more of the great ideas people have had on their forums. Many simple, but really effective suggestions have been made, but only a handful have actually made it into the firmware so far.

I think the team has been distracted with other stuff like production problems and the defects and it's also apparent that they don't have anything like a full time coder--maybe none of the flash kit makers do--probably just someone who does contract work for them now and then to supplement his income.

Hopefully as the production stuff smooths out and they start seeing some actual profit from having a top-selling card, they'll devote more of their resources to implementing the requested features. The Evolution would definitely be the best card available bar-none if they get some of those features like real-time save and screenshots and full UI customization and such into the firmware.

I would get one but unfortunately they are scarce in my country and the shipping would be awfully expensive aswell.

Shipping? I'm sure you could get it posted via plane to save money and time instead of some chartered boat from AU to NZ.

I have had mine for 3 weeks, and it works like a charm. Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to skin, easy to HAVE FUN WITH!

You can pretty much have it set up within 5 minutes of receiving it.

I love my CycloDS!

Think of it this way, at least they do implement some user suggestions. Just how many flash kit makers actually do that?

I've had my CycloDS... For... 5 to 6 months!? Woah. Longer than I thought.

It's a first-batcher.

And it STILL works. And I've only encountered one game that messed up. Sims 2. But... I think I'm better off without it.

But hopefully I'll put it to real use with.... A 4GB MICROSD CARD. OH SNAAAAAAAAAP.
