What do you think? Is there any value of having full CFW on 3k, go etc
Would you do it if there was a risk of bricking, even if tiny?

cheers
Sounds like a recruitment drive for people with 'unhackable' PSPs to beta test Perm CFW for 6.60! (maybe just a poll but I think its more)
Would any Temper PSP fanboys be interested perchance?
Drop Mister Davee a line on Twitter or Wololo.net if so!

I have lied to all of you. I am deeply sorry.

Kinda pointless imo. The "temp cfw" takes a whole 5 seconds to boot, then does everything a perma hack does.

Well of course it could still be just a mere survey.
Also if it was true, it does mention risks, no matter how small, and risks usually mean the possibility of bricking 'unhackable' PSPs and since there is no publicly known unbricking method, you can be left with a dead console.
It's a bit like the permanent CFW method for 6.20, although the risk is small, there are still some who did brick their PSPs with it.

I am interested of testing this. Where do I start?
Keep an eye on this thread for further details:

There was one exactly -- the guy before me. I was a beta tester for that hack too.
There's definitely risks involved, but Davee is the best CFW surgeon around. :)

This an extremely valid counterpoint -- this sort of thing is not for people who can't afford to lose their PSP.
This is more for geeks who can't resist the irrational desire to tinker with their gadgets (and have a spare system in case things go wrong). :P

This. I have a Go with a temp CFW, and I love it. I can use my PS3 to download things without it having to conflict, then switch firmwares and play ISOs. Its the best of both worlds!

Sweet! Maybe this will be the reason for me to upgrade from 5.03. xD

(only reason me being on 5.03 is because I don't use my PSP often anymore.)
Why not just go for 6.20?

I have hacked several PSP's in the last year and put 6.20 Perm on all of them. I think it's great.

But I haven't touched my PSP in like 3 months. Too lazy I guess.

Given that this is Davee, the "tiny risk of brick" is likely "if you're a fucking retard and ignore all the instructions", so I'mma' go with the first vote.

I mean it doesn't look like there's going to be something past 6.60 now anyways, so having the latest on perm would be a good closing note.

EDIT: Typo.

Honestly, I think this will only be used by those people who are just too lazy to waste 7 seconds of their time actually activating the CFW. I rarely shutdown my PSP, so I don't find myself running it often anyway.

Well it's easier to not have to wait for the few seconds. Not that I honestly mind, but it's just easier. Guess it's time for closure on the PSP.

cant a temp hack be made for the ps3. its ofcourse not possible due to the hardware differences but a temp hack of some sort would be great.

psp after that great hack and determination has been going great till today
Hardware difference I guess.. On the other hand, after the PS3 gets into the same situation as the PSP (games being released more rarely), it's possible that a similar type of exploit or hack can be found without it being patched in the same manner :)

I agree, I turn my PSP off, and the only time I need to run the CFW is when I don't use my PSP for a while and the battery goes dead.
