DAT file instead of NFTR file

I've posted my previous problem, and now I have a new one, in my previous post, RocketRobz told me that I should use TinkeDSi to get to the font file of the game, but somehow, I find the font, but it's not in .NFTR but .DAT, what should I do to the DAT file (which is the font file) and how can I edit the font with the .DAT extension
