Before I uninstall this...

Is there any possible way that this is actually affecting my ability to use the Upgrade to 4.2 guide that is stickied above?
You can perfectly update to 4.2 with DARKCORP installed, just not with the method of the Guide -> official update
If you uninstall it, you can use both methods

At the moment I have ciosCORP 3.6 installed.

I have not installed any ciosCORP before 3.6.

I have the Waninkoko rev19.

I need to do anything before installing Darkcorp? ciosCORP need to be remove? I need to install the rev17?

QUOTEBE SURE TO READ EVERYTHING IN THIS FILE BEFORE INSTALLING!!!
BE SURE TO RE-READ THE FAQ SECTION BEFORE ASKING ANY QUESTIONS!!!
IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND, RE_READ THE
README, AND IF THAT STILL DOESN'T HELP, PM damysteryman AT THE
GBATEMP.NET FORUMS BEFORE INSTALLING!!!

...

Do I have to uninstall anything before installing this?
-> NO!!!
NEVER UNINSTALL OR DELETE ANY SORT OF SYSTEM FILES!
DO NOT UNINSTALL THE SYSTEMMENU!
DO NOT UNINSTALL ANY IOS!
DO NOT UNINSTALL THE BC!
DO NOT UNINSTALL THE MIOS!
DON'T EVEN TOUCH BOOT2! (let bootmii do that, if it can)
OR ELSE YOU WILL KILL YOUR WII!
Just make a NAND backup if you can, then run the installer.
THAT'S IT! However, if you have an older version of cIOSCORP installed,
and you want to upgrade and have hackmii installer support, then you
will have to uninstall any older version of cIOSCORP beforehand.

If however you haven't installed anything older than v3.6, then it should be fine to just install DARKCORP over the top of it, without the need for uninstallation.

...looks like I'll have to update the README some more...

I have a softmodded Wii 4.2E (rev 14) with cIOSCORP 3.6 installed and I have a question:
Is it safe to install Priiloader? Or should I uninstall cIOSCORP first?
Thanks in advance!

It should be fine.

You may also want to upgrade to DARKCORP v1.0 and to cIOS249 rev19 too.

But make a NAND backup with bootmii first before you do anything you're unsure about.

Thanks damysteryman for your quick reply!
About DARKCORP, I sent e-mail on 18/5 but the links I received was for cIOSCORP 3.6. In case I find DARKCORP, should I uninstall cIOSCORP 3.6 first in order to install the newer version?
About the NAND backup, of course I'll do it, but I have BootMii as IOS, so I hope that Priiloader will not brick my Wii.

Oh...

The new address is [email protected].

I REALLY have to update the README...

After making a NAND backup, install priiloader, then DARKCORP. You shouldn't need to uninstall if cIOSCORP v3.6 was the first time you used CORP.

There is always a small brick risk when making any software modifications. You just have to make a NAND backup, then try it out, and hope everything goes well (IMO these things should go well about 99% of the time, I've only ever bricked by doing stupid stuff).

Oops! Seems that I used the old address...
Anyway, I made a NAND backup and I installed Priiloader and works fine, so I am BrickProof now!

And one last thing: I read some posts saying cIOSCRAP or DARKCRAP. I just wanted to say that it's a fantastic piece of software which played every single game I tried. But the best part of it is that it plays the videos smoothly (you know, speed 1x, not 0.6x, if you know what I mean).

So, I have to say a big thanks to all of the guys who developed this!

Thankyou for your support!

there were older versions of cIOSCORP (v1 and v2) which were made by another group of people, and it wasn't really good, and got a bad reputation.

While myself and my team have redone it (and prevented recreating the problems that v1/v2 had) and tried to disassociate our DARKCORP from these bad CORP associations, people still think that they are the same thing...

Oh well.

Maybe some people are just scared due to bad experiences with those 2 older versions...

Or have read other posts saying negative feedback of said older versions without actually trying it out for themselves, and so decided never to try it...

Hmm...

@all the people who view DARKCORP the same way as cIOSCORP v1/v2, may I ask that you give it a really good try before negatively judging it?

It's not the same as the older cIOSCORP versions...
It can do things that the older CORP cannot do...

Thankyou in advance.

This might be a good time to mention:

DARKCORP v1.1 development is nearly complete. We just have to adjust a few things (easy part), and then update the documentation (hard, time-consuming part). Then it will go into beta testing, then after testing, the release.

So we are still working on it, but it may still be a fair while before it is released.

Oh, I see... I didn't know that the first versions were developed by other team and had issues. Because, it didn't make sense to me, why all this criticism for such a good software.
And, BTW, DARKCORP sounds better!

I have cioscorp...
Is this the next version of cioscorp?
Does Super Mario Galaxy 2 with Darkcorp?
And where could I find the uninstall from 3.6?

And where could I find wich ios i'm using?

But I want to update too, so what must I do, i've cioscorp 3.6

And do you have clean version ( scrubbed or normal ), so this game does work really perfect? On darkcorp?

Well, 7 posts above:

About the game, I think it's scrubbed. It's the first version released (if this helps).

run the cIOSCORP or DARKCORP uninstaller, then run the DARKCORP installer.
It doesn't matter if it's scrubbed or not in any of the CORPs - they'll run scrubbed or unscrubbed games fine. If you want to install 4.2 though, run the uninstaller, install DARKCORP, then install the 4.2 System Menu (IN THAT ORDER), or else you could brick your Wii if you did a region change, or you could uninstall DARKCORP.

A quick question.

Im on 3.2u with a old version of cIOSCORP,now I pretty much know how to install DARKCORP but for the last step I install the official 4.2 update then Im done right.

Hey, I read the instructions on the first page, and read the majority of the post, I but just wanna be 100% before I start updating.

My wii as of now is 4.2u, cioscorp 3.1, maybe 3.3 (forget if I updated or not), cIOS38 rev14b, homebrew, hackmii, and preloader. It's an older unit so its not LU64 or the new DVD drive.

So I should:

1. Make a NAND backup
2. Use Darkcorp to uninstall old cioscorp
3. Should I install cIOS Hermes 222, and if so is this the point to do it?
4. Install Darkcorp

Am I missing anything? Should I have the newest Homebrew(does it matter?) Am I going to have to reinstall anything (preloader?)

Sorry I'd rather be sure and do it right the first time, then risk bricking.

Thanks

I don't know to use wich installation, i've ios249 rev 19 ( From CFG usb loader ) And ios222 ( Too )

But wich must I use?
