Considering all that we have said before, I’d hope that there will be something that will unleash, again, the power of this console, even though we still need to see some real action of the actual developers, reversing and making the real deal here, creating a new CFW core from scratch just as Alex used to do when Sony changed the encryption keys and so on.

Did you read the comments from GEN? Apparently despite everything they're insistent on 6.20 CFW by the end of the year.....that's if we're even still on 6.20 OFW then...

boo-fucking-hoo
if he's so disappointed then why doesn't he go back to showing people how it's done rather than standing back and criticizing when people try their best to fill a void?

That's Alek speaking not Alex though...and besides it's absolutely correct that the PSP scene was in a woeful state when there was only ONE person who was capable of working magic on the PSP. Give the guy his dues, that pretty much makes him unique/irreplaceable.

i miss those old days when DaX was king.
he slipped away slowly, then altogether. those were sad days. i pretty much stopped following the psp scene soon after and it (my psp) has now moved to my dedicated mp3 player.
The guys back then really knew what they were doing and did it with love, the love of the 'game' and the love that all the people returned to them.

If his new responsibilities are anything like mine from the past two years, he got married and had kids. My stepson is almost 4, and my daughter is turning 1 a week before his birthday, so I understand how much of a workload that can be. If that's NOT what it is, then regardless I wish him the best of luck.

Guys. You should notice that 1.50OFW and 1.50POC had a one and a half year distance. 6.xx was a major recode of the whole firmware. Reverse engineering it would take an extremely long time.

Dark-Alex was in my opinion the only true legend for the PSP and someone needs to step into his shoes, at the moment I don't think there is anybody ready for that so we just have to wait and see XD

I really do hope the GEN team do come up with a new CFW and then maybe they can make a name as big as Dark-Alex did

Given they're more or less peers i really fail to see this happening at this point....

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu

there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
