If you can afford it, get the DSTWO. Cannonfodder has a post in with the power consumption in, and it's not that far off the Acekard. The rest are additional features which the Acekard doesn't have anyway, once the SDK gets released things should get a lot better for the DSTWO.

Have you not managed to unbrick your Acekard?

No. I only have one, after all. The next one I also want to use to un-brick my AceKard so I could at least use it with my Phat.

Oh, one more... Does the DSTWO use the .dat files for cheats? And will it be able to run Inazuma Eleven 3 (a 512 MB game) without bricking it or anything? I want to play it in japanese for now, but I hear they're all getting localizations that I'll buy when they come, and don't want to buy the same thing twice.

Yes, it uses teh same cheat databases in dat format . There have been no reports of bricking the DSTWO from these games. The DSTWO updates it's firmware differently, I believe you place the firmware update on the MicroSD and if it detects the firmware update on power on it will automatically update. So even if you had a DSi with FW 1.4, you could still update it.

There's Meant to a be small amount of frame skipping and sometimes a slight lag on the button actions depending on the games. On the plus side I believe you can use cheats with the GBA, aswell as Real Time Save, so it balances out.

If they can optimize it, t the lag could be fixed in an update.

have a look at http://eng.supercard.sc/manual/dstwo/plugin/gba.htm

I imagine PharaohsVizier has video of it in action somewhere, I think he's done a review of it.
