If I'm installing Daemon tools lite 10 on me server pc it just crashes.

Everything goes well until the next screen after language selection.
it says that it's already installed (obviously isn't) and crashes with a pop up that it stopped working.

I've already reinstalled Windows and tried again, on a bare Windows install (only thing I installed was the GFX driver and chipset driver)
I've tried enabling the IDE channels in the BIOS but nothing seems to work.

I'm able to install older Daemon tools version (version 5 works) but the latest one just fails to install.

If someone could shed some light on it then it'd be amazing!

Edit: forgot to mention it's on Win 7 x64

I've been thinking of installing that instead of Daemon tools as well.
Odd thing is, it installed on me lappy without any trouble.
All I can say is maybe try
http://forum.daemon-tools.cc/
since they will probably know more than what most Tempers will (but hopefully I am wrong)

I can't speak for newer versions since I've categorically stopped using D.tools, but older versions never had problems installing for me unless there were problems with permissions.

If be interested if you discovered what caused it

Daemon Tools is garbage. If you're just needing a virtual mount, then use CloneDrive. If you're needing publishing tools as well then go with PowerISO.

Works perfectly fine for me, atleast on me lappy.
And hey, if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Anyway, before I can tackle the Daemon tools problem, I need to fix Windows update + the issue of svchost taking up 2 GB of RAM.

I can vouch for CloneDrive too if you need optical drive visualization. Although I haven't used Windows since 7 came out so I'm not sure how likely it is to work for you. It is an undeniably good product however.

Welp, it was thanks to a flaw in me old motherboard that Daemon tools popped up with an error all the time.

I've gotten a new motherboard today to swap out the old one.
Installed Windows, installed some updates and installed Daemon tools.
