Hacking D2B Pal?

Well I was gonna checkout a wii key from a site, which I won't link to incase it's against the rules, but it says:

*** Fits Nintendo Wii's (upto D2B PAL,NTSC,JAP) ***

What the hell is D2B PAL? I mean, I've got a PAL wii, but what does the D2B mean?

I bought my wii in May right, so does that make any difference?

It's a chip inside your wii.
Nintendo have been recalling unsold wii's since june and cutting pins on them like below.

The D2C chip has just recenly made am appearance.
This is bad as no modchip at the minute work with D2C chips.

check the serial number

the first half of your serial number gives you a pretty good idea whats in it LEH12 and later prob gonna be a D2B
obviously without knowin the serial i cant be more specific

If you're worried about opening it up you'll probably be worried when you mod it and then break it.
Send it off to one of the places that mod it for you. I've seen places online (uk based) ask for £50 to do it.. thats with the mod chip. after you buy a soldering iron, modchip, flux, wire, tri wing etc.. you're not going to be that far off £40+ anyways.

Well it's LEH11 and not 12 so iwill it still work?

the only concern is with later chips that are showing to be d2c. I'm not sure where that plays for you people, but earlier usually is fine. search around. there's a serial database that can be of help in predicting what your wii has

more than likely gonna be a D2B chip which is perfectly moddable
may have the legs cut cos its roundabout the time started doing that
still perfectly moddable if they are cut just a slightly more difficult install

so the answer is yes it will work
