With my launch console and V1 Cyclo, I am pleased with it.
Only negative to me so far is the slowdown in cutscenes and loading takes longer than originals so
I am hoping that an update does in fact correct it. Even so, I do not regret the purchase.

do u get lots of DREs?

I have not had one DRE yet. But mind you, this is only of the 10 or so titles I have tried so far. I am using Magnavox 16X DVD-R.

i recommend the cyclowiz

i own a v1
after the update every game will be playable
i played around 20 GC games and at least for several hours and i didnt get any DRE
NTSC and PAL games testet
but most NTSC

after the update you will be able to play the 3 problem games

Ya I also recommend getting the cyclowiz. So far the only problems ive had were minor video lags in wario ware and elebits. But this update will probably fix it. Other then that the rest of my gc and wii backups are working perfect.

I just installed a Cyclowiz for someone else. It was a V1 model.
The chip itself was well built and very easy to install using wires.
It didn't (as others have said) like COD3 when the same copy plays in my Wiinja'd Wii console fine. Both consoles and the game were PAL.
Seems alright with the other games tested though, including Sonic NTSC patched to PAL.

Would I recommend it?.. Not yet. I'd really like to see an update to fix the non working/problem games before advising others to use it.
If they actually get an update out that fixes these problems then I would definitely recommend it.

but the only great minus is a non recovery mode
so when you upgrade it badly the chips is f**ked up
i will update mine
i wanan play games with less loading times

why cant we play games from hdd
like on my olskool xbox
very fast loading times

as i said i recommend it but if you flash it badly you will need to get a new one
at least i will get to the guy that installed it and let flah the upgrade with a programmer when possible, and i upgraded it false
