Okay, all those that have dropped the hammer on the cyclowiz, would you recommend it?


I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this.

i ordered a wii key and a wiinja deluxe i am seriously thinking about getting one of these to check out all 3 but i am unsure

how can you "100% recommend" it if i doesnt even play all games?

im cyclowiz user too and i would NOT recommend it.
as you said some games dont work, there are DRE with many cube titles,
slowdown issues (resulting in choppy videos for wario ware, tony hawk (ok, tony hawk runs fine for me, but not for many others)).

they claim to fix all these problemes by end of this week via update, but they told so some weeks ago, i dont believe them anymore.

So even though other chips work with every game, even Rayman, CoD and Spongebob, you still recommend it 100%.

I have a cyclowiz v1, ntsc wii and I am very happy with it. It does not play cod3 but every other game it plays great. Very rarely does a first-gen mod last forever or play every backup. If the $50 is too much to spend to replace later than I say wait.

With my launch console and V1 Cyclo, I am pleased with it.
Only negative to me so far is the slowdown in cutscenes and loading takes longer than originals so
I am hoping that an update does in fact correct it. Even so, I do not regret the purchase.

I have so far a 100% SUCCESS rate with all the Wii games inc a patched Sonic.

I can recommend this chip, easy to install and reliable (well for me anyway)

I use my GCOS Boot disk for all NTSC-J games, you will not be able to directly boot NTSC region until the supposedly cyclo update or Wiikey is released.

and yes I used GCOS to boot Mario DDR

sry but ive got 15 Cube Titles played so far and i got ZERO DREs!
i dont know what you did wrong, but ive burned with verabtim and 4x...

and i can recommend this, because the 3 titles which arent working are seriously shit and the update function is nice...

50-60 of 80 tested cube titles work fine, the rest give DRE.
and no, i did nothing wrong.

you cant say its ok 3 games dont run cause they are crap. thats your opinion, others make like the games.
plus it doesnt mean all future games will run if there are current games that dont.
