Hmm, I just realised that I'm still running an old Beta on my card. Perhaps it's time to upgrade.

So if the Cyclo has a GBA loader, does that make slot 2 devices like the 3-in-1 obsolete?

*edit* Actually, after reading the release notes, I don't see how this "GBA software" is any different than my use of NDStation. Until auto-patching is implemented, I don't see a real reason to stop patching with NDStation. Here's hoping for auto-patching soon!

Gameboy Advance software can now be loaded directly from the CycloDS Evolution GUI. Games must be pre-patched using GBATA or similar software. Automatic patching will be added in the future.

What exactly is this? Does this need GBA flashcart?

Ingame text reader?

Sheesh, I've got lots to learn.

yes you will still need a slot-2 device to play gba roms. its just you don't have to use GBA explorer anymore to load gba roms, but rather you can do it from the GUI (just like any .nds rom)

Ah, thanks, Unchi-san.

I was wondering about that too, I wasn't sure what they meant by it. After digging around the CycloDS forums, I learned that it is a feature that lets you read text files you have saved to your cart, while you are playing a game, so you don't have to reset to read the file. Obvious uses for this are for strat guides from GameFAQs, etc.

I'm actually pretty excited for this feature to be implemented.
