Developer eBrain Studio revealed a new trailer for their upcoming cyberpunk-themed metroidvania game Loopmancer today. The game is set in 2064, in a fictional futuristic city inspired by Hong Kong, bionic prosthetics have become commonplace. Taking on the role of private detective Xiang Zi Xu, who has been reborn after an accidental death, you'll need to fight against enemies in fast-paced combat using a large selection of guns, melee weapons, and tech.

The 2-minute video released today gives us a glimpse at the gameplay and at the game's overall theme:

Loopmancer combines 3D action platformer gameplay with exploration and puzzle-solving elements as players investigate the disappearance of a famous journalist. With multiple twists and turns, players must navigate the metroidvania city to crack the case.

Loopmancer will be available in Q4 2021 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

The VOs and story seem pretty cheesy, and I'm not so sure about that choice of title, but it looks solid overall. On to the wish list it goes.

Not surprised thst it is for Nintendo Switch too because it can be done on Nintendo Switch but Cyberpunk 2077 for PS5 and Xbox series X cannot be done on Nintendo Switch. Impossible and cant downgrade at al. Yeah. I will try this one. Looks fun.

Yeah. Cyberpunk 2077 is still not fully fixed on PS4 and PS5. The last fixed was on 1.23 for PS4 and PS5.

Well, Cyberpunk 2077 also suffered from performance issues on these upgraded last-gen consoles. While it did fare better than base versions of these machines, bugs and glitches still made it an unpleasant experience. BUT to avoid playing it on the standard PS4; PS4 Pro and PS5 will provide a more reliable experienceHowever, the game seems to be in much better shape thanks to the continued support. This game is amazing. Absolutely amazing!

Cinematics look legit good. Better than most of the stuff that was in Cyberpunk 2077. They have character. They have flair.
