Homebrew Customizing Wii u Folder icons

Hello,

I was wondering how an icon folder on Wii u could be customized.
While it's pretty clear how a game icon can be changed, folder icons are much less clear.
Can it be done? Is it hard coded?
If it can be done, could someone share which file needs to be changed?

The folder icon image comes from a single file, so although it's relatively easy to change the appearance of all folders by intercepting the file read call for that file (that was done as a gag once a couple years ago), you'd have to find a way to know which folder's icon data to supply if you're trying to customize individual icons.

In other words, making all folder icons look like a hamburger is doable. Making your NES VC folder look like a NES and your Wii VC folder look like a Wii isn't so easy.

Someone else might remember the thread or whose image was used for the folder icons. Searching on that person's name would probably get you to the thread.
