Custom Vwii menu mod?

I'm trying to make a theme for the Virtual Wii (VWii) on my Wii U but I haven't found any sort of guides for that particular thing. I've found a few guides surrounding making your own Wii Menu mod but not the VWii specifically, and unfortunately I haven't gotten any Wii method to work for the VWii.

Is it at all possible to make a them for your VWii, or will you just have to settle for the ones created by Riiconnect24? Thank you for taking the time to read!
