I have the same question as PkmnHenry from earlier, as shown below.
how many pixels are of separation:
However, i would just like the number estimate of how many pixels there are of separation from the top and bottom screen.
Thanks!

Use this image I spent at her, she opens the fireworks https://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-theme-thread.377399/page-163#post-5944687
Using this editable image you will be able to make the assembly of custom themes that use a single image.
I made using two images more this file can be used to assemble and calculate the exact height of separation of themes.
Despite the file separation is smaller, when the custom theme is loaded in 3ds will be right.

Thanks for the quick response, but the reason i was asking the question again was because I can't install fireworks for reasons. A number answer(Ex: 70px - 85px) would be preferred.

You can open that picture in a program of your choice, if you open it in fireworks would show layers. Opening it in another program you can use to calculate the distance between the images. Place a single image using this image to align then cut where it has split. Even without editing you can use the image to calculate the distance and upper row in alignment with the bottom. Take this picture to create the image of upper and lower then save them separately. This way you will make a theme with fully aligned images.

The image that I put to download arranged in the answer I gave on this link https://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-theme-thread.377399/page-163#post-5944687
Download in posting the arquivo_shape_3ds.png image.

Ah, that image, but last time i used it and tested it on my 3ds, I noticed that the gap between the top and bottom screens were very miscalculated.
Just a feeling, but i think you are assuming that i am using 2 different images. I am using a single image split between the top screen and bottom screen.

Cool! I uploaded this theme last night, though the BGM seems to be a bit off, but I love how relaxing it is

I'll be sure to use that theme!

let me make a simple PSD file with the correct dimentions between both screens, do you have any idea of what are they? I think its somewhere around 20-30pixels

See if this helps image. Convert the values for px.

I thought all 3ds convert heights of a millimeter for px and ready. Postage see in my above. 3ds xl have between the top image and the bottom image more or less 83px high

yeah, Ill fix it and give it those 10pxs missing as the one I uploaded has 68pxs, I'll leave it at 80px so that it can be used for both 3ds and 3dsxl =)
The new 3ds distance between the two screens and more or less equal 3ds xl 83px. And more good by 84px for the converted value of millimeters for px has some additional numbers.
