Homebrew Custom Theme Thread

Same im good at making themes but hardly know anything about offsets I tinker to get colors and make note of them but sometimes I mess up and get screwed up images

It would be very nice to see the theme info fully reverse engineered and the creator program updated to let you change most of it :)

We already know a lot about the structure already. The only thing missing is a few sound effects, and maybe a few system color offsets (although I think we have all of them already). There is definitely enough information to make a more interactive theme editor. We already have a way to make the theme have a "moving squares" background, after all.

So, for the most part, we've reverse engineered almost all of it.

That would interfere with game icons appearing in 3D so even official themes won't do it.
EDIT: Just a guess on my part. Seems like if you have stuff in the foreground and a game icon does as well that it could cause something odd with the 3D presentation at some point, you know?

I include a Zelda one (sound included) with my guide. Please don't rehost it though, I've been making changes and probably will continue to do so.

Nice, gotta love the Zelda themes and we both have good taste since your using the same Majora picture I used in my theme (pg 16) :D. If you want to fix the top left corner I found that loading the theme in EveryFileExplorer and loading the picture there seems to fix it.

Thanks for that tip, I'm fixing my themes not to have that glitch now, Gamnaught.
EDIT: I guess I did something weird, though. It fixed that spot that the theme creator messes up but now the folder color on the top screen as well as the highlight color is totally off from what it should be.

No problem, also you might need to recompress it with LZ11.bat after you save it with EveryFileExplorer
You can get the LZ11.bat from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-replace-zelda-ss-textures-and-models.313747/ Download the link called "LZ11.bat with DSDecmp" and drag the uncompressed theme onto the .bat to compress it.

EDIT: To fix colours, this might work. Uncompress theme first before, then edit with EveryFileExplorer and then recompress the saved file.

I should make a Hilda theme with the logo that has the upside-down Triforce.

I tried that, but it didn't work.

There's just too many changes to the beginning of the file, I think, when I use everyfileexplorer even if I decompress before editing and then compress afterward. Maybe I'll eventually get something to work but EFE is making more changes than it should or assuming some kind of default theme values?
