Hacking custom soundtracks on r4

I was wondering if there was a way to use custom soundtracks on the r4.

Define "custom soundtracks"
Are we talking about playing some MP3s in a media player, making some sort of tune play in the R4 menu, changing the soundtrack in a DS game, or what here?

You can play Mp3s in a media homebrew called Moonshell.
There's no way to play music on the R4 menu.
The only way to get a custom soundtrack on an individual DS game is through difficult rom hacking.

I was thinking of playing the music while playing a game but it probably isn't worth it if you have to hack the rom

Yeah, the DS can't multitask, and doesn't have the sort of power to play MP3s whilst you play a game.
Maybe someday, in the future, but not on the DS.
