Dude MAX combos are part of the game, it's not cheating at all. Just work on becoming faster and in more control of your robo, and you'll do fine. I do combos whenever I can as its very effective in inflicting damage. They are probably one of the harder elements of the game to master, as it requires fairly precise timing on your part.

As for the microphone part, I did not know that at all. Does this button appear when it asks if you want to add the person as a rival or what part exactly?

First, my cousin and I added each other's friend codes.
Then, we connected wit each other over Wi-Fi.

On top of the screen, there was a Microphone Icon and it had a X near it [meaning hold x to activate microphone and to let go to deactivate]

I tried it by talking right into the tiny microphone that is used for blowing like Cooking Mama. My cousin said he heard me so it worked , I then told him to try it and it was assured that I heard what he said.

I never knew about this either.

Wow, that microphone bit is pretty cool! I've got to try that out.

I have to agree that the MAX combos are part of the game. The whole point is to have destructive combos/chains/whatever you want to call it that do lots of damage before your robo does the "rebirth." Now if they were using codes, glitches or abusing bugs - that's cheating.
