Hacking Homebrew Custom resolution while docked (1600x900)

I have a 900p monitor and 720p looks a little pixelated is there anyway I can run custom resolutions on the switch while it's docked?
If not, can I do something which makes the games run at 900p (not the OS) by tweaking the game files?

2. You can, but still it will be upscaled to 1080p / downscaled to 720p before sending via hdmi. So it's pointless if you expect native 900p on display.
