Why memorydump.dat doesn't create any dump in my sd when I launch it from the browser ?

Well! Good news everyone! I have injected my first Gameboy game: Adjustris (homebrew/public domain tetris clone) into Super Mario land 2!!(Actually did this last night but gbatemp was down so I couldn't post)
Going to make a new topic now!

EDIT: For those wondering, I was actually injecting at the wrong offset, causing it to begin loading super mario, but then my rom.

Good to see you finally got it figured out. Be sure to let us know how you got it working. :D

Ah, apparently there's a thing out there to dump the RAM of the currently running software. Maybe it's already been posted, but if so I missed it from all the other developments going on.

I'm kinda getting sick about any interesting things coming to the scene is "only for developers & research purpose".

If the scene gotta take shape it needs a public exploit for everyone (and not only homebrews through a limited exploit that uses a game), we need a fucking 9.4 CFW that'd allow anyone to install .cia files easily and don't tell me it's not possible, Gateway can do it.

At this rate, people won't get anything concrete before Nintendo releases it's new handled, I thought the 3DS scene could be as strong as the DS or PSP scene but for now we only have a few homebrews, no easy and not perennial methods to provide homebrews to the mass...
That warning is so people know A) These aren't simplistic to use, and B) Don't have any value to people that don't know what these tools are for.

I feel the 3DS scene isn't as strong as other scenes because we don't have as much attention, we don't have as many hackers, and information is difficult to come by. It's not like there are a million in depth tutorials that explain binary files, hex editing, memory banks, things of that sort, or even how to use them in a way to be beneficial. All you can do is ask people that do know, and even then, responses aren't all that in depth. These are simply tools to work on the things that people DO desire, and it just states there is no use for people that don't understand how the tools work.

Hey! Be sure to check out the VC injection thread :D!

Yeah, that was part of KazoWar's original example. Although, it's a bit untrustworthy... From my experience it seems to dump the ram with a bunch of trash data scattered between it, which makes viewing the data a bit hard unless you can filter it out.

The dream is aliiiiiiive!

Oh, yeah! Yifan explained how I can port tools to lower firmwares, so if you'd need some help porting the tool to other firmwares, just message me.

Just realized how unfortunate it is that the browser can't be run at the same time as Smash Bros... we would have been that close to finally getting people to stop complaining about unlocking custom moves.

That's why I'm waiting for someone to figure out multi-threading. Then I can finally start actually working on Mario Kart.

I never understood people's obsession with that game. I tend to like more casual games, though.

I managed to get non-straight relationships in Tomodachi Life by shifting some mii data around! That's basically the only thing I've ever wanted to do with the 3DS, ha.

I'll put src up later if I can find a more reliable way to locate the data in ram, I was just reading and editing in one shot.

I thought multi threading is starting a new thread inside the current program?
How is the browser thing related?

Anyone consider taking a digital 3DS game loading new code over it after / while it launches and running custom code in user mode similar to how the VC exploit is run?
