Hacking Custom GameSave Location on M3DS Real?

Hey, I'm new here and I've searched around trying to find the answer, but no results have come up for me. What I want to know if it is possible to have the save games in my NDS folder automatically go into a sub-folder.eg

N+ creates a save file, but instead of being in the same directory, it is in another sub-folder eg "Saves" Also, the game retrieves the save file from that directory.

the way the m3 system was designed it stores all saves and all other assorted games files such as cheat code selection in the NDS folder
its impossible to have them in other folders
ive questioned this myself, but you just gotta live with it...

the save file must be in the same folder as the game...if you don't want to have all the games and save files all in the NDS folder. you could create a different folder for each of your games, like N+, TWEWY....or put them in categories Action, Fighting, RPG, ...etc

note: once you switch to other folders, you can't go back to the NDS folder

What's the appeal of a separate folder just for gamesaves?
What cart(s) has such a 'feature'?
Is it for ease and convenience to easily backup all saves tp PC with one click, or what? If so, all you would need to do is click on 'type" heading within Windows and it places all file types together and you can select the saves that way (I know its not quite as simple as having a custom save folder though).

1. Personal preference. Just so it doesn't clutter the folder.
2. I have no idea.
3. Yeah... nah, I'm just one of those "folder freaks." Everything just has to be organized in such a way for me to be happy

HUH?

you can put NDS files wherever you like and use them there ....

Mine are in a folder called GAMES and they work fine there and the saves are created wherever you put your NDS files

and as for game save backups ... you can just write a .bat (batch) script to search your mem card for *.sav (everything that ends in .sav) and backup all your save files to a specific or set location each time you run it

or just use a tool such as ROMINATOR etc to backup your saves its easy!

I meant save files actual games files must be kept together no matter where they are put
moving them to different folders doesnt really help the question because the rules still apply to the save file

Just sort your file by extension.

I just take all the .SAV files in my NDS folder and back them up to serialized ZIPs once in a while.

This would be a good idea for lazy people like me. Backingup will be easier. Its so hard(well annonying) because of all the .opt files and .cht files.

I tried the eng hack of sakura and got those files also
I think the regular firmware just stores rom options in the cheat file options
