Homebrew Custom eShop music

EDIT: I have found how to dump the eShop music in any format (of audio obviously!) I tried some different formats and still nothing.
Ive been trying to get custom eShop music and it results in no music (just sound effects).
Ive done this so far,
1.Dumped extdata with extdata_dump
2.Replaced "boss_bgm1.m4a" on the SD card with custom music named "boss_bgm1.m4a" (From what Ive tested the custom music has to be same length so it would have to be 01:35 seconds. No more. No less.
3.Edited the config file in the extdata_dump folder to make it say
"; replace eShop music
RESTORE "boss_bgm1.m4a" "00000219:/boss_bgm1""
4. Tested after it said "Success", eShop had no music. Just sound effects.
You can try this yourself and maybe get it working.
Just an Idea I had yesterday.

I don't think that's actually possible. Isn't eShop browser based and all changes made Nintendo side?

Maybe so but I would assume that music is client side. Unlike the Wii U where the eShop music can change overnight
The eShop music on the 3DS has never changed AFAIK.

Im pretty sure Custom music will work seeing as I was able to get it to no music :3.

Could you send me the original m4a file you ripped? I'd like to see some stuff on Adobe Audition

You might need to encode it with the same bitrate and sample rate as the original as well. So if the original is something like 32khz 128kbps try encoding it with the same settings.

I've definitely had the 3ds eshop play different music. I believe Song of Storms played on the 3ds eshop when Majora's Mask 3D came out but I might have that mixed up.

Or Gaur Plain when Xenoblade 3D came out.
If I had a choice I would permanently change it to the original, these new ones are ANNOYING.

I don't really know if something like that would be possible. But, if you think to me, maybe some CRC Fix method is needed (same way as Miis' edition)! And maybe, exact file size also!

Is not that easy to encode a m4a file like that, since .m4a belongs to .aac and for whatever reason I can't make them even with audition

It has. If you were on 9.2.0-20E, back when it was "new", you would've realised that It has changed since then.

It's usually the same for me. Only changes on a few occasions. I don't really use eShop much, all I know is that it does change.

It didn't for ages, but then about a year or so ago, they started to change it quite regularly, around the time smash bros came out.
