Yeah, seems that way. There was some issue with the romanji column earlier today so I removed it, maybe it needs to be added back in for the compile to work? EDIT: It's working now!

And yeah, I've been changing things as I play through the game, though I should probably start over for the translation's sake.

i'm now on vacation, writing from pub using ds browser so i'll make it short.

patch is created parsing wiki's pages. any change to formatting breaks it.

i'll put pages for crests, medals, gallery and rules during next weekend( i hope ) when i'll return (i know where the data is,need to update patcher)

thank's all!

Awesome, thanks theli.

Thanks theli! Sorry for taking up some of your vacation time. I will be going on vacation for a few weeks here soon, so I'll do my best to finish up the story in this next week.

I have a concern: I patched my game and gave it a go, and the english translation looks good so far, but it leaves blank lines in strange places. I am guessing this is just a Newline character that got copied from the wiki here. Maybe we can fix this by not making newlines on the English translation? I mean, just have one block of text, no paragraphs or new lines. What do you think?

I also want to give a battlecry: I think we have one of the fastest-moving game translations going on GBAtemp right now. Nice work guys! I don't know how difficult it is for you guys going back and making the English translation sound better, but when I go back and see the edits that Bandle is making, it looks like I am making a lot of common sense stupid mistakes. Stupid mistakes because the way you fix them makes me hit my head with my hand (face-palm) and say, "Why didn't I think of that." because it matches the Japanese a lot better. Thanks!

Yeah, I've noticed these as well, and you're right about what causes them. If there's a linebreak or weirdly spaced {07}, the game displays them, which can lead to odd looking results. I've been removing the ones I see (which is what my revisions that say "spacing" are), but it shouldn't be hard to remove the ones you notice as well.

And chexxor, don't worry much about the small mistakes, it gives me something to do.

Hi guys,

I have a problem, I apply a translation in the game but only changes the menu and letters, the dialog and number of roulette do not appear neither in English nor in Japanese. That is correct or I am applying the wrong translation in the game?

thanks!!!

Are you using an emulator? no$gba has issues displaying some of Culdcept's text.

But no, the dialogue is definitely translated.

Yes, I use no$gba on my computer, how can I fix this?

Well it's not a problem with the translation since the issue happens when playing the Japanese version as well. You'll have to wait for the emulator authors to fix it.

I've been trying to play this game in Japanese for the past few weeks. Then I found this translation project and today I'm a very happy person!

So thanks for your continued work on this project to everyone involved!

よしゃー!終わった!
Yeah, finished, at least with the story. Bandle, I will leave it to you to go through and check the latest updates I made. God, this story is hilarious. Way too many Bwa-ha-ha moments. :-)

Bandle has been making some great progress on the Menu and Card List sections. Keep up the good work. I have a few more final exams tomorrow, then I go on vacation for like a month, so I will be out of the action for quite a while. I'm just happy we got that story finished. So keep it up Bandle!

And thanks to everyone who pops in here with some word of encouragement. It does feel good to know that people care. *tear*

?????, chexxor?
Nice work! Looks like you went through the entire script in less than two weeks!

I'll be sure to look over the rest of the script asap. I have a few questions about some lines, but they can wait until after your well deserved break

So is this game playable in english with the current patch? I browsed throgh the wiki and saw there were english strings for most of the entries, but curious on the playability with it applied.

decide for yourself

tutorial, explaining game mechanics, is translated
all story dialogs are translated
all cards are translated
menus are translated

Thanks for the notice, it is translated now. I didn't know how to translate it when I looked at it the first time because the grammar was slang-ed. I think I have the right meaning now.
