Hacking cubic ninja confusion

So many new homebrew apps still requier CN do i need the real thing or can i use GW and a Rom/cia? If i use GW do i need to remove my emunand sd first so that i am in sysnand??

Ps.: I am a o3ds xl 4.5, o3ds 9.2 and N3ds 9.0 owner

If you're emuNAND is version 9.2 or lower you can use a ROM for HB. If it's 9.3 or above you need a physical cart to use on sysNAND - or make a second SD card emuNAND with 9.0 and run the ROM from there.
