Before I installed ctr-httpwn, I was able to play online in my games, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Mario Kart 7, etc. After I installed it, I can't connect anymore. Even on my friends list I am listed as offline. I ran the app upon booting my system, and checked and I was still offline. (I did not reboot from Homebrew, I did Start+X and my entrypoint is Steelhax) I turned off the wifi and turned it back on, and I am still listed as offline. The internet browser, MiiVerse and eShop work fine, the only problem is being able to play online with friends.

Knowing your entrypoint is great and all but can you post Your current version if its an o3ds or a n3ds or if your on Custom Firmware along with your region and any other entry points you may have installed? Just to narrow down the list of possible issues.

Right, my bad. I have an N3DS 11.1.0-34U and I do have OoT3Dhax with the cartridge version. Is there anything else I need to add?

Ctr-Httpwn is for version spoofing if your on the most current version you don't need to use it at all and if it seems to be a difference between day and night perhaps your putting your 3ds into sleep mode turning it on in the morning and running ctr-httpwn a second time without rebooting either that or your networks unstable possibly.

My network works fine, so it must be the installation of ctr-httpwn. And you are right about the sleep mode part, my status is shown as offline again. It was working completely fine before I installed ctr-httpwn.

ctr-httpwn is not meant to be running twice I recommend doing a full reboot and then running your hack and trying ctr-httpwn to see if you still have an issue.
I've found if more than 1 copy is running neither work. Making sure you have the most up to date version of ctr-httpwn wouldn't hurt either.

Before and after starting ctr-httpwn (once) it still shows me as offline. One weird did happen: I rebooted my system, did not start ctr-httpwn, and instead went ahead to play Pokémon ORAS, had a connection fail, then closed out the game, closed the 3DS to sleep mode, reopened it and I was connected again. Could this be somewhere in relation to ctr-httpwn being installed?

Seeing as it wasn't running I'd say no ctr-httpwn does nothing if you haven't run it hence a reboot shutting it off
Check your network settings if your connecting automatically or manually to the network.
You may have limited connectivity.

you should stop using ctr-httpwn.
That's what I'm gonna do.

On another note, my brother has a 2DS 11.1.0-34U under the same connection as I am. His 2DS does not have ctr-httpwn installed and his online status works 100%. Mine has it installed and even without running it, I can't get online.

make sure you don't have tubehax dns set in your network settings for the connection you're using (wrench channel) it can mess with shop and update stuff.

or worst case, your wifi in your 3ds is dying

If you can't get online even without it, I think ctr-httpwn isn't the culprit.

My connection's DNS is set to auto-obtain.

If that is the case, I may as well go buy another 3DS then...

If it isn't ctr-httpwn, I don't know. I suppose I should try going online with a different connection to see if it is the connection or the 3DS itself.

As remote as it sounds it could be an issue where your 3ds is trying to connect to an IP thats already in use or in some cases if you are using an official router from your service provider they may be limiting the amount of IPs allowed to be connected at one time.
I remember a similar issue while using SHAW a while back.

That might be, but as I said, the only things that don't work are the online functions of the friends list and games with internet connectivity. The eShop and internet browser run fine.

You don't 'install' ctr-httpwn; it's just a homebrew app the runs straight from your SD card. All effects of running httpwn are removed after restarting your 3DS.

I have an N3DS 11.1.0-34U
Why were you running httpwn to begin with? You should be able to use all online functions fine, as you're on the latest system version.

Well I figured out I can only seem to connect at night. In the morning it dies completely.
I think this should tell you that httpwn is not at fault here.

I would try using another (completely different) internet connection and see if this remedies the issue. Also, in the past, have you tried to manually update (via homebrew) system titles such as NVer etc.?
