Homebrew ROM Hack Create a 3DS Wireless Patch for injected GBC VC cia

I've tried doing my research but the information on this topic is very scarce and some links just gave me a 404 error so here I am.

I just made a custom Virtual Console 3DS CIA for SmithPlay's incredible Crystal Legacy and I want to play together with friends using wireless communication to trade and battle. The problem however is that applying the Wireless Patch that comes with the Official Crystal release (CGBBYTE1.784.patch I believe) is not working.

I can get the wireless menu to show up on the bottom screen and even create a party with my friends but after a couple of seconds the communication is lost. This I believe happens because I'm using a modified version of Crystal so I want to know if there is a way I can create a custom patch for this rom in particular.

That's what I want to know too I wanna be able to play with friends either battle or trade Pokémon, but since I am using a modified version of Pokémon Crystal those options don't pop up anywhere for me
