Reporting Time

. First, awesome work for a Beta, realy. I'm just reporting my findings, even the small ones, so you know what's need to be fixed...

1) Channel-Launching don't seem to work (always Code Dump)
2) 16:9 seems to work for me
3) Press image seems to crop and be far fetched to the right hand side of display
4) Loooong Boot-Up...if you press something before it realy starts, Code Dump
5) White/Black Bars at start

I guess next version will just be a bugfixing version... Before release I emptied my custom channels so haven't done much testing...

"Press image seems to crop and be far fetched to the right hand side of display", for this one you can use offsets for press image... is there a problem with that?... Let me test a circular picture with a hole in the center to place press image...

well, i tried several offsets values to have my pic in fullscreen mode (x_offset="18" y_offset="10")

but...for press.png i can't see it, tried to change some values but i still don't see it

By the way, press image supports transparent pngs... So you can overlay it on top of your boot logo..

Could it be that fadespeed is 0 in your config? Also press pic is shown only for fullrotate, presspicfade and sinusrotate picture effects.... param1 should be greater than zero so you can actually see it fading in... also the picture should be either rgba png or a jpeg...

I kept your settings for pictureeffect (param1="1" param2="1"), the only thing i changed is fullrotate to presspicfade and the values of bootimage (x_offset="18" y_offset="10")+ my image.png for fullscreen.

edit: I have press pic now! cool

here what i've done.

first i noticed that presspicfade doesn't work for me...then i set pictureeffect to fullrotate, and apllied this (param1="0" param2="1") 0 for the rotation speed....and 1 for the press pic, and that worked!

Sorry for that

I got this monitor used nearly 7-8 years ago with an a500+ and it's still working... but probably will die soon in between my wii debug sessions

I love Crayintro !! Thx for your hard work on it. Im using v3 atm and it works great. Really makes my Wii stand out of the crowd.
Goto Wadder.net in HS to see my customizations to the HS. With Saliva "Ladies and Gentleman" blasting I love it. I might mess with v5 when all bugs are fixed so I could randomize my HS.

It would be overkill to do that

We have sd, usb and even nand... I think accessing discs just to get some custom startup theme is too much... And if we are not talking about normal dvd rom discs, creating legitimate wii discs only possible by nintendo... (unless fakesigned)

Same here with the wife

Yes you can have a press image any size overlaid on top of your boot image... you can have effect on the main image (rotation, scrolling and stuff) and keep the press image located at certain offset... that image will fade out and fade in certain picture effects... you can use transparency in the press image...

Say a picture of you and your wife in the background and on top a throbbing transparent heart, doing that you may get more chance to fiddle with this stuff

ps: remove your sd card and send the dol to the hbc, you can see a small demo about the picture effects... (too bad I only yesterday noticed much cooler effects can be made with the transparent press pic)

Well if you combine them (tweaked wii and credits text) in a single image making everything surrounding them transparent and carefully choose an offset to align it to the underlying image...

does video work on the updated one? ive copied the folder to the root of SD card and taken all out except the shortcut keys and video file. heres my config
should everything be in the folder or on the SD root?

Video displaying one was just an intermediate version... 0.31 and 0.32, the other versions doesn't support video at all... starting with 0.5b all the resources should be in the crazyintro folder...

If you want video you should use 0.32, and you should have the boot.avi (the file I see in your config file) and crazyintro.xml in the root of the sd card...
