I think I already know the answer to this, but I gotta throw it out there. Is there any way to be selective of what parts of a trainer effect a rom? For instance, having a trainer give you max money, but not touch HP even if it otherwise does both?

Many of the trainers I do have 'unpatches' that you can apply to the whole trainer. It patches over the opcodes that tell the trainer to write to an address (where lives, etc are stored) thus turning off that effect of the trainer.

Yes, it'll set the experience value to maximum after 1 battle.

500 is nothing at the later battles, and if you want to get a person lvled up fast then put them by themselves, you get more xp the less characteters are in your team.
