I’ve got a couple of leds that are very bright. Electrical tape is good, but adhesive gets gooey. Can I use thermal paste on an led to “soften” the light? I tried elmers glue, but surprisingly enough, it didn’t do anything.
The compounds used in those are kinda toxic, you really want it to be out in the open? Where's this led placed?
I'm guessing you don't want to just snip it off? And i'm not sure, but it's probably not a good idea to goop conductive metal onto your circuit board. Personally, if I can't snip it, I'd probably use hot glue and some sort of thick plastic. The led is on the circuit board and is covered by the housing. It’s not exposed. I just don’t know if the paste will damage the led.
