Sony's request for comment IPs slowed.
US district courts have delayed Sony's request for expedited discovery. This means that Sony will not be allowed to send out it's various subpoenas yet, one of which demanded the IP addresses of all Youtube users who commented on a specific video. Since Sony's movement was delayed in it's entirety, this also means that Sony will not be getting the personal contact information for various members of team fail0verflow, which was also included in the nine-part request.
This seem to be a movement in the favor of privacy, as Sony would be allowed to collect information from potentially thousands of people who simply commented on a youtube video before it's removal without a hearing on the movement first.
