[IMG] Court delays Sony's attempt to get IP logs.
Sony's request for comment IPs slowed.

US district courts have delayed Sony's request for expedited discovery. This means that Sony will not be allowed to send out it's various subpoenas yet, one of which demanded the IP addresses of all Youtube users who commented on a specific video. Since Sony's movement was delayed in it's entirety, this also means that Sony will not be getting the personal contact information for various members of team fail0verflow, which was also included in the nine-part request.

This seem to be a movement in the favor of privacy, as Sony would be allowed to collect information from potentially thousands of people who simply commented on a youtube video before it's removal without a hearing on the movement first.

Yes! Take that Sony! Tracking down everyone who just posted a simple comment on a video?

That's what you get when you try and have it all. Should've made several requests.

Good. It was foolish of Sony to think that they could get them in the first place. Total invasion of privacy.

That not the point here, the point is that our privacy wasn't breached.

Hell, Sony, why can't you just lose your balls to the hackers, like Nintendo and Microsoft.

Just want to be bitch-slapped in the face, dontcha?

Uuuugh...why is every post in here a complete anti-Sony sentiment?

    1. Get over the fact that Sony is protecting their console.
    2. It's not really our privacy being breached. It's Google's. We willingly gave our information to them with no promise of privacy.
    3. Does no one care that Fail 0verflow is being protected? Is it all about you guys?

    This.
But yeah hopefully after this Sony can calm down and get back to making us
more updates with actual features! (I want them to do that more then chasing hackers)

Yea...the point should be that privacy rights won the day here, not that Sony is getting slapped for trying to protect their assets in such a heavy handed way.

I know we're a Nintendo oriented site but...lay off a little and cheer for the right reasons.
